PM Modi recalled the historical connection between the two nations stating how South Africa had “transformed” Mahatma Gandhi. He also spoke about how on this day, SA played its first cricket match.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a four-nation tour of the African continent on July 7. His first stop was Mozambique capital Maputo. Today, he is in South Africa where he held talks with South African President Jacob Zuma on a wide range of issues aimed at boosting ties in the African continent, particularly in the economic sphere.
