We all want soft and and glowing skin, there are many factors which affect our skin in like stress, busy schedules, unhealthy diet, harmful sun rays, dust, pollution, chemical-based products – that take a toll on the skin.

Like any other part of our body, our skin also needs to be kept healthy and nourished. This is where home remedies come in handy that helps your skin glow naturally without causing any damage to your skin. The following are a list of skincare home remedies I use that prove to be the best. Lets raid the kitchen.

Cucumbers, gram flour(besan), banana, oats, milk, almonds, orange peel, papaya, lemon, turmeric, sandal wood, egg white, multani mitti, tomatoes, yogurt, strawberries, honey, aloe-vera, coconut oil, tea tree oil, rose petals, neem leaves paste, tulsi leaves – all these natural ingredients help your skin to be healthy and glowing.

Honey will hydrate and smoothen your skin while egg white tightens up your skin pores and makes your skin smooth and glowing. This egg white and multani mitti combination controls excess oil in your skin. Papaya is best for glowing skin since it has bleaching and antibacterial properties which glow your skin by eliminating dead skin cells and reducing scars. Additionally, there is papain in papaya which acts as an exfoliate, reduces acne, makes skin more radiant, younger and glowing.

Sandalwood powder or chandan is a natural exfoliator that absorb excess oil and allows your skin to glow and shine. Neem leaves and tulsi leaves are considered as best treatment for any skin and health problems. Tomato juice is an excellent tan removal agent and heals acne. Besan, curd and turmeric are suitable for all skin types. Strawberries makes the skin firm by reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Each skin type has unique requirements and you need to build a daily skincare routine based on your skin type.

Cinnamon is a great ingredient. The flavourful spice has been known for its medicinal properties since ages and has been used as an anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing ingredient.

To remove acne, take cinnamon powder and honey, make a thick paste and apply this mix on the face covering acne and pimples. Wash it off with lukewarm water after 10 minutes. Also, you can try cinnamon and olive oil for anti-ageing, cinnamon and banana mash for a healthy soft skin.

Baking soda carries immense benefits for your skin. It exfoliates dead skin cells to reveal new freshness, removes tan and helps in skin whitening.

These natural ingredients are generally not harmful, but don’t forget to do a patch test, especially if have sensitive skin.

Follow the remedies in the recommended quantity over time to see significant results, blemishes, scars, and dark spots can take anywhere from a few weeks to months to heal and fade.
