My hot and heavy romance with the humidifier on my desk all started about a year ago when I began taking Accutane for my breakouts. Because of the meds—which work by shrinking the sebaceous glands in your body so there’s no excess oil hanging around your pores—my entire body was a dry, creaky mess from my face to my eyes to the inside of my nose. It actually works.
Going to be honest, when I first plugged the humidifier into my desktop I didn’t really feel that much of a difference at all. But, meh, the LED light was calming and the mist was oh-so pretty that I didn’t care. Cut to me at home six hours later plopping down on my bed and realizing that 1) my eyes no longer looked like I just got super high and 2) I could move my nose around without fear of a spontaneous nose bleed. So, A+ in my book.
It’s more than a one-trick pony.
The little engine that could holds up to 180 ml of water (note the WATER, no essential oils here!) so it can puff it’s little heart out for up to eight hours straight, which is great when I’m hunched over my keyboard in an ungodly position (@ any chiropractors reading this, I’m sorry). It also comes with two modes: a steady stream or little bursts of mist if you want to ~switch it up~ one day.
