Amidst politics over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mention of Balochistan in his Independence Day speech, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has demanded introducing of a bill announcing Lok Sabha seats in Pakistan-occupied- Kashmir (PoK). “I want government to introduce a bill announcing Lok Sabha seats from PoK and Gilgit,” said Dubey while talking to media on Wednesday.
A few days ago, Union minister Jitendra Singh gave a call to “liberate” PoK, Gilgit and Balochistan while flagging off a Tiranga Yatra, saying its actual culmination would be with the hoisting of national flag in Kotli and Muzaffarabad.
“We have flagged off Tiranga yatra from the border district of Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir with a call to liberate PoK. Its actual culmination will happen when we will hoist the tricolour in Kotli and Muzaffarabad (in PoK),” he said.
The prime minister, too, during the all party meeting recently had asserted that PoK was a part of Jammu and Kashmir and asked the participants to “expose Pakistans atrocities in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Balochistan”.
