Make sure your diet consists of whole grains such as barley, oats and broken wheat. They are all rich in vitamin B, zinc and iron – highly beneficial for hairfollicles. Green vegetables like spinach and broccoli are rich in folic acid, vitamin A and C, and keep hair follicles healthy.
Stop smoking
Smoking adversely affects the blood flow to your hair follicles leading to the disruption of normal hair growth. This triggers thinning of hair and eventually hair loss.
Don’t over-wash
Too much washing leads to getting rid of the scalp-born nutrients that are highly beneficial for hair and makes them stronger. Over washing can also make your scalp dry and hair brittle.
Go natural
Experimenting with natural ingredients is the key. Easily available ingredients such as eggs can stimulate hair growth. They are also rich in vitamins A, D and E which promote hair growth. Use a simple hair mask of egg yolk and olive oil. You can even use honey and onion juice to massage your scalp twice a week. Rinse with a mild shampoo.
Comb With Care
Don’t comb your hair when it’s wet, it will lead to hair breakage. Excessive hair pulling makes hair fibre weak. Comb, gently.
