Ae Dil Hai Mushkil teaser landed on Tuesday morning and the Karan Johar directorial was met by positive response. The 80-second teaser showcases Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma dealing with love in all its glory and pain. The film also stars Fawad Khan in an important role but we caught but a glimpse of the Pakistani actor in the teaser.
The film marks Karan Johar’s return to direction after a break of almost four years and looks like an intense romantic drama. The teaser was set to a song composed by Pritam and sung by Arijit Singh. The soulful lyrics go: “Tu safar mera hai tu hi meri manzil tere bina guzara ae dil hai mushkil, Tu mera khuda tu hi dua mein shaamil, tere bina guzara ae dil hai mushkil… Mujhe aazmaati hai teri kami, meri har kami ko hai tu laazmi.”
The film, earlier said to be a love triangle, also celebrates unrequited love. Ranbir’s character is intense as he meets Anushka and Aishwarya along the way. The film also stars Lisa Haydon and Deepti Naval.
As soon as the teaser landed, Bollywood responded with love, and more love. Alia Bhatt, who has been promoting the teaser for some time now, wrote, “And here’s comes my favourite song of all time!!!! Aaaaaah can’t get enough @AnushkaSharma @_fawadakhan_ #ADHMTeaser… What a Teaser! What a song! What gorgeousness!”
Farah Khan, Karan’s good friend and favourite choreographer, wrote, “Sounds like our story @karanjohar Most beautiful teaser & most beautiful song with beautiful people!” Alia’s Student of the Year classmates, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, also had only good things to say about the teaser. “Excited to see you back in action @karanjohar love this teaser #AeDilHaiMushkil,” Sidharth wrote. Varun tweeted, “Wow can’t wait Karan. I want this song now #AeDilHaiMushkil #ADHMTeaser.”
While Aditi Rao Hydari called the trailer yummy, Neha Dhupia called it heart stopping. “Sometimes u see something n ur heart stops beating for a moment caus it’s so beautiful @karanjohar #AeDilHaiMushkil,” Neha wrote.
