Two days after the deadline to fix potholes ended in Bengaluru, many major roads are yet to be made motorable. This is the fifth such deadline that has lapsed. The civic body has announced a new app to help citizens become a ‘pothole reporter’, which will go live later this week. Citizens can click pictures of potholes and send them mentioning the location.

The air quality index (AQI) for Delhi on Wednesday was worse at 484, according to the Central Pollution Control Board. The Delhi government has ordered the closure of schools till this week end. On Tuesday, the AQI touched 448 in a scale of 500. ”The air pollution has become unbearable affecting all. It has engulfed the city. The reasons for this may be varied from stubble burning in Haryana and Punjab to vehicular/ construction pollution but the fact remains that it is affecting the health of Delhi’s citizens,” says a statement from Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s office. China Literature Ltd. leapt more than 70% percent in its debut in Hong Kong on Wednesday as the online publishing arm of Tencent Holdings Ltd benefited from a rising tide of local enthusiasm for tech stocks.
