Does your dressing table need something new and sparkly?

We’re obsessed with all the new beauty releases for the autumn, eyeshadow palettes in particular, and these ones will take you right through to Christmas and New Year’s Eve, so your party look is sorted.

And best of all, all of our picks are under £12, so you can still treat yourself to a mascara to go with them or a new coat…

Here’s what we thought of the latest products landing on beauty shelves now.

1. Barry M Champagne & Dreams Eyeshadow & Highlighting Palette, £6.49

Barry M Eyeshadow Highlighting Palette
A 2-in-1 palette

The palette: A mix of bronzing, highlighting and coppery shades that work for your cheeks as well as your eyes. There’s also a deep plum and a brown for adding smudgy definition.

Beauty writer Zoe says: “Good colours and good staying power. Only four eyeshadows,
but they make a really nice, subtle smoky look, while the bronze works well on cheekbones and in the creases of your eyelids. I love using the champagne pink shade in the corners of my eyes.”

Score: 8/10

2. Rimmel Magnif’eyes Styling Eyeshadow Palette, £7.99, Boots

Rimmel Glamour Grunge Eyeshadow Palette
Play around with the shades for an alternative smoky eye

The palette: This eight-shade palette comes in three versions. They’re all quite ‘autumnal’ with coppery, plummy tones.

Beauty ed Lynne says: “Of the three palettes, this Grunge Glamour one stands out with darker, smokier shades. None have the strongest pigments, though. I didn’t find these shadows very easy to build and blend.”

Score: 5/10

3. Make-Up Revolution Fortune Favours The Brave Palette, £9.99, Superdrug

Make Up Revolution Eyeshadow Palette
So many shades to choose from

The palette: Designed by famous beauty blogger Jane Cunningham, this has a whopping
30 mattes and shimmers in all the colours your heart could desire.

Beauty writer Zoe says: “I’m in love. The shades are pigmented, and some of them are marbled together so you get a blend of two in one. Special shoutout to Sunset Hour and Super Gold – beautiful coppers – and the applicator brush is pretty decent as well.”

Score: 10/10

4. Bourjois Palette Les Nudes, £11.99, Boots

Bourjois Palette Les Nudes
The handy mirror is great if you’re getting ready on the go

The palette: The first ever palette from Bourjois. It houses eight nudes and neutral shades, ranging from a deep brown to a pastel purple, and has a handy adjustable mirror.

Beauty ed Lynne says: “Such a pretty, delicate collection of colours. I loved the unusual (but very flattering) shimmery pistachio for daytime, and then adding the darker shades into the socket line for evening smokiness. The eyeshadow textures are so supersoft they’re almost buttery, making them a joy to blend, and they last really well.”
